OK
So I have decided to get a PSP, I have read all about homebrew, iso?s etc etc and realize I need to get a PSP that is not 2.1 or greater so I was wondering what is the best system to go for?
1.5 or 1.5.1 or 2.0
Or does it not matter as I can go Up to 2.0 then down to 1.5?..
Are there any other factors to consider in models (screen reliability-some say they are Sharp Screens), Reliability?, Battery life?, speed?, any other factors ???
Thanks

Currently here in Europe all PSP's? are beeing sold as Firmware v1.52. Save the Ceramic White which is v2.0, the new Giga-Value-Pak; Black or White PSP w/1Gib Memorystick? are v2.50.
Best grab one ASAP! as most of the current stock should be going F A S T !! as we're reaching that most wonderfull time of the Year! And it has been reported that S0NY? will only ship PSP's? with v2.50 to Retail. Starting with the new Giga Pak....

PSP 1.5x can be updated to v2.0 (google for the Eboot.pbp File or look for it with the Searh Button on this Site!)
v2.0 Can be downgraded (see above!)
v2.01 & v2.50 CAN **NOT** be downgraded at this time. It's not likely that they will be cracked anytime soon though. =(

I just bought the GigaPack this week and it does not come with 2.50 firmware, only 2.0. I'm not sure if it's different in Europe, but here in Canada, the Gigapack is shipped with 2.0 firmware and I have successfully downgraded it to 1.5 and installed a variety of homebrews successfully.

Firmware 2.0 Downgraded to 1.5

Ok I'm a big enough Guy to admit that ~I could be wrong!~ I really wouldn't know about the Giga-Pack as I'm only going on what I've read on other Websites, which have reported that the Giga-Pack were shipping out as v2.50. If there only v2.0 then it's a pretty good deal, certenly a better One then just the standard Value Pack....
