Is anyone have a problem ripping Lords of Dogtown using DvdFab Decrypter? It only rip the first vob file and then the progress bar stop moving for long time. There's no error message. It seems like it got stuck on the second vov file.
Thanks

You may need to use the search function this has already been discussed many times already. DVD Decrypter will not rip it. You need to use AnyDVD and clonedvd2. You can use the search to find guides on how to use these products.

Good Luck

spacedust, ThetaPsi is trying to rip it with DVDFab Decrypter, not DVD Decrypter. DVDFab Decrypter should work! I backed up Lords of Dogtown using DVDFab Decrypter.
ThetaPsi, what version of DVDFab Decrypter are you using? Make sure it's the latest version: 2.9.5.2

Latest ver of DVDFab Decrypter (free) will take care of LOD. So will AnyDVD (21 day trial). I had no problem with Fab and Shrink (both free).....

Also, DVD Decrypter in IFO mode will rip the main movie, which is what is "unrippable". Uncheck all the Cells in Chapter 1 that are from VOB ID 1. Usually this will leave only the last 2 cells of Chapter 1. Then rip the rest of the disc in File mode.

After you are finished, use IFOEdit to correct the VOB Navigation. Load the IFO that belongs to the VTS of the main movie. Then select "Vob Extras=>Strip Streams". You do not actually have to strip any streams if you do not want to, but process it to correct the VOB. It takes about 10 minutes to rebuild the VOB.

When it finishes, drag and drop the new files into the VIDEO_TS folder (save the original VIDEO_TS.IFO somewhere else). To make this process faster, have IFOEdit save to c:/name of movie/VIDEO_TS/New Folder. You have to manually create the new folder also the drive letter will be the one you used to rip the movie. For me it is actually "E:".

Now Open VIDEO_TS.IFO and press "Get VTS Sectors". This will correct the sector addresses of the IFOs. Now you can either Shrink the movie, or take it to VobBlanker and blank out the previews and other garbage. I suggest the latter and then taking it into Shrink.

If you need a guide on Ripping these new movies let me know and I can send one your way. It has lots of screen shots and should for for every Sony movie released or not yet released.
