Hey, I'm new to this forum and just have a couple questions. I'm considering getting a PSP but am worried that I wont be able to use any ISO backup files if I have the 2.5 version software on the PSP. Is there new software that will work with the 2.5 software? I have looked at some of the posting but am I little confused. It looks like there are several different emulators, which one is the best. Any help you could give me would be great. Thank!

If you have 2.5 it will be impossible to run any kind of homebrew at the moment, but I don't think they are selling PSPs with 2.5 on them. Someone correct me if I am wrong though. If you get 2.0 you can use the current homebrew working on that, or you can downgrade to 1.5.

Now with the emulators, it depends on what system you want to emulate. At the moment the best SNES emulator is SnesPSP_TYL, the best Sega Genesis emulator is probably Dgen PSP, for NES is Nesterj PSP, and gameboy is RIN.
