cant play svcd with subtittles in bsplayer

I play the svcd with bsplayer, but then it says, unknown format, then the movie opens in a new window, and I cant put the subtittles.

Is there a way so I can play the subtittles with the svcd?

i think you need to re encode the movie with subtitles in it.
