I hook up my ubs and it comes up saying that it's connected but when i try to use PSP 9 to put movies and stuff on my psp it says it's not connected so i don't know what to do????

are you sure its connected? sometimes winXP |=UCKS UP and needs you to go to ADD HARDWARE if it doesn't say:
FOUND NEW HARDWARE USB DISK SONY PSP BLAH BLAH BLAH

have you selected USB connection on your PSP? I didn't realize I had to activate the connection from the PSP at first, it's in the settings Menu, the far left.
