Hello,
I am new here, so,please, give me a chance... I am a female, so my software knowledge is limited to "simple tasks" and "simple language."
I would like to know if someone can explain to me step by step about movie downloads and dvd burning online.
My plan is to:
1.Find the BEST movie downloading website ( which allouds to copy and download movies online) and to
2. Get an external DVD burner to burn the downloaded movied from website on DVDs.
3. All other issues of "DVD shrinking", NERO things and other "Greek" langauge subjects need to be explained to me because of my limited understanding of the whole process of movie making/downloadning /burning.
Please, let me know if you can help me and guide me on step by step how to accomplish the above in BEST and fastest way...
I am greatful,
Peace,
Bonita...

well as for the kazaa i can say get rid of it. since kazaa installs so much spyware and ads its best just to stay away from it.
As for movie downloads piracy is not allowed on the forums so i cant help you there. But for dvd burning you can an abundant amount of info here by looking through the forums, This site has taught me just about everything i know about video transcoding.

Yeah i had kazaa too before, it gives your computer a lot of virus and ad-ware including pop-ups. After sumtime there was software on the internet i found called Kazaa-Lite, worked exactly like a kazaa and dint have virus. What i am not sure of is, if kazaa-lite created by kazza coz it wasnt available on the official kazaa website. Now adays there is another software called k-lite i dint download it coz charged and i m not sure if this is kazaa lite or what? So instead i used limewire, it gave hella problems so i downloaded Lime-Wire PRO works perfect but dus cost a bit if you wanna download legaly: i would suggest you lime wire for downloading music it has like evry song
Here is the link:
http://www.limewire.com as for downloading movies u can use bittorent.

Ok, here we go...
1. The best public site, http://torrentspy.com 2. Go with Sony, Pioneer, or Plextor.
3. Download the movie. Install VSO DivXtoDVD (freeware) and Nero Burning ROM (if you dont have already). Insert the .AVI into VSO and change standard to "Force 29.97" (if you are in the US). When it is completed, open Nero Start Smart and select Burn DVD-Video Files. Drag the newly created Video_ts folder onto the left side of the screen and burn at 4x.
4. As others have said, Limewire PRO is the best for music, Bitcomet is the best for torrents.
Enjoy!

DVDback23,
thanks SO much for your input.
I will follow your recommendations and see what'll happen.
First, I am reading the website and doing "some research."
Yes, I am in US, so the guide will really help.
I hope so, at least.
Thanks again.
Peace,
Bonita...

I know I am not on the right forum for this question, just trying to keep all my postings together...
What is , in your opinion, the best DVD burner?
P.S. I saw many comments from other members, some DVD burners don't have a back up CD/DVD copy abilities?
I am also looking for an external DVD burner, so , please, consider this in your answer.
Thanks a lot.
Peace,
Bonita...

Hi there:
I'd like to let you in on a little secret. If you want LimeWire Pro for free, just download LimeWire and then download LimeWire Pro from there. Too easy.

@ dude845
Quote: you must convert the file to dvd format.. to do this get DivXtoDVD and convert the file.
well hows that going to help you if your file is not an avi/divx/xvid/mpeg.
What happens if its ogm/mkv/asf/mov..............DivX to dvd isnt going to do squat with it.

Since you're asking for which DVD burner is the best, I don't know if this is the absolute best, but it sure is the top of the line. There are two ways to go with this one that I know of. If you'd like to be able to burn your labels onto the disk, you can buy the Hewlett Packard LightScribe DVD Burner or for a few dollars less and it does just as good a job as HP, you can get the BenQ LightScribe DVD Burner. The only catch to this is that if you want to burn labels onto your disks (cd and dvd), you'll have to buy LightScribe media which is now made by a number of different companies. The brand I use is Verbatim.
