Hello, I'm pretty new at this and with all the searches I've done for this problem I have this seems to be the best place.

I'll walk you through the steps I have taken. I converted an .avi file using AVI2DVD, and then used Nero Burning ROM to burn to DVD. The result was fine except the Audio and Video were out of sync (Note: the Audio and Video were not out of sync as .avi files just after being converted to .vob files). With a little research I found a program called VideoReDo. This was perfect for syncronizing the AV, so after doing that I did a Quickstream Fix and resaved the .vob files. When I went to burn the dvd using the new .vob files, I receive this error. I did a little more research and found that I would need new .ifo files so using IfoEdit I created the new .ifo and .bup files and tried to burn, and the same result. Here is a copy of my Nero log.

i am by no means an expert at this, but have been at it a little while.

the method i have stumbled across after various conversion and burning programs is the following.

use program VSO DivX TO DVD to convert the AVI file. This is the best i have found. simple to use, quick conversions (3hrs tops), cracking results with good compression. You can also download it free.

to burn the dvd i use Nero burning rom.

when i first started out i used to get problems with out of sync sound or even no sound. This is where i get a little vague, but the usual problem is codecs. ive got loads installed. not sure how or what they do exactly. theres people out there who can give you a better explanation. a good start is the ace mega codec pack, also available to download free.

very occasionally though i have received the same error (reallocation error) you mentioned. the odd occasion i have received this i think was because i was overworking my pc whilst the conversion is taking place. i.e. downloading, surfing the net, limited hard disk space and converting at the same time. found that after cleaning up my pc and leaving it alone with just the convertion, the results were fine.

hope this helps.
