Hi, I have firmware 2.0 US for my PSP right now. I'm now interested in running homebrew apps on my PSP, but I know I must downgrade my firmware to do so. I've seen a few downgrader programs on the net... but I'm wondering if they're safe. I don't want to brick my PSP.

Can someone give me a link to a good 2.0 -> 1.5 downgrade patch that they've used successfully before?

Check pspupdates, they have a guide and all the files you need on the site

Yes, a lot of people have successed downgrade PSP to v1.50

its perfectly safe to downgrade. with MPH.

I have downgraded sucessfully 10 times.

Its almost impossible to brick if you do it correctly. All the ppl who say OMGWTFIBRICKEDMYPSP!!! Are all phuxx0rh34d5 who just wanna put down downgrading coz they luv 2.00 and $ony sooooooooo much or theyre jelous cos they have 2.01 or 2.50.

There's only a 0.000000000000000000000001% chance to brick it. But it's nil if you do it right.

HOWEVER, there HAVE BEEN BRICKINGS with FAKE DOWNGRADERS that pretend to be dgdrs but are BRICKERS. The safest and only one is MPH DOWNGRADER.

Yes, you can upgrade at anytime. But dont upgrade higher than v2.00

Please help me as I am stupid!! I am trying to downgrade I have the eboot and the mph but cant get it to do it. I get a message saying that I do not need to upgrade to 1.5 as I have the ver 2.0 also the instructions are confusing me (as I said I am stupid) they say plug the ac adapter, but surely it s already plugged in so I can get in the menus?? the picture that goes in photos seems to be a little lac square which doesnt show in the photo section of the psp menu also I cant see where index.dat is either!!!? HELP!
