Nero Recode won't open on my comp

Every time I try to open Nero Recode, a window pops up saying that it has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have even deleted nero off of my comp and re installed it, and recode still won't open. I bought the nero cd brand new so I don't know what the problem could be. Can anybody please help me? :(
