Lots of threads covering this.
Success being reported using latest AnyDVD, and CloneDVD2. As well as AnyDVD, DVDDecrypter, DVDShrink in combination.
See the Shrink Forum and Newby Forum.

I had the same problem last night with DVD Shrink. I read the replies and was advised to try AnyDVD and DVDFab Decrypter. I did so and restarted the computer. I then gave DVD Shrink/DVD Decrypter one more shot and it worked. Why did it work the second time? Divine intervention?

AnyDVD works in the background, meaning it removes the protection so you can rip with any other software. You could have even dragged and dropped the VIDEO_TS folder onto your hard drive to rip if you wanted to.

@IHoe
Hi, buddy where you been? DVDRB ought to work fast the movie is only 1 hour and 30 minutes and there is no compression on it. RB should just wing along. Good to see you posting again.

@arniebare.....Hurricane Wilma knocked out my cable internet dsl...... and I couldn't even switch to BellSouth DSL or Sat DSL, they wanted me to wait for a month or more!!!!! so I had to wait it out for cable to get back signal! I was without electric for over 8 days and scurring for water was real fun! hahahaha but I survived and I made lots of money doing restoration work....... I own my own business and I service the Marriott down by the beach in Ft Lauderdale! they had 19 floors of wet carpet and I had them up and running in 5 days! They also got their electric back in an hour after the hurricane went by! Everyone else suffered but the Marriott had power! hahahahahaha I'm just glad to be back! thanks

I tried this movie with Xcopy Platinum and running AnyDVD with it, and it would not backup, at least not the full disk. However it did backup using AnyDVD and CloneDVD with no problems.

dvddecrypter and AnyDVD wouldn't do it for me. Had to use dvdfabdecrypter then run it through vobblanker to get shrink to take it fron there then burn.

arniebear, thanks for the reply. One more question, do I need to give up on Platinum, I really liked it but here lately I've experienced problems with it. What is the version of AnyDVD you recommend ?
