everything worked fine yesterday, but this morning when I tried to play something I ripped overnight I got this:

and then got it for all my other movies as well. tried on media player classic and fusion and got the same thing, any ideas?

I've been getting a similar error. The only thing I've been able to do is run an earlier version. I'm currently using 0.7.1239.exe because nearly impossibly to find anything but the newest version online. As far as I can recall the latest version that worked for me was 0.7.6xxx but after that it's been screwed.
