hi is it true that u HAVE to upgrade the PSP in order to play the latest games
liek GTA LCS for example has an upgrader init , if i was in need of upgrading , (which im not ) would the game work ?
to make that easier to understand
if i had a V1.5 PSP and tried to play GTA would it work?
2.01 > 1.5 > 3.03 OE-C . piracy rules.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU NOOBS!Why do you do this? The search function has a reason...to not make these kind of pointless topics that just bump other more important topics down and get forgotten. Read before you write, search before you write, and stop making these topics.
To answer your pointless question, NO you can not play GTA on 1.5 firmware. Just ugrade to 2.0 when you play it and downgrade to 1.5 when you want to play homebrew.

Could you write in plain english? I'm sorry, but I couldn't understand more than half of what you wrote. It might be less work for you to write like you do, but its harder for the reader. Just keep is plain unless its on a chat board please?

search on goodle for wab version fools the psp to thinking its a version 2 when its runnning 1.5 no need to downgrade it evertime you have played gta ;)

Wrong.
WAB version only works on some games, and in this case, GTA isn't onw of those games. Try all you want, but no firmware-fooling tool will work because GTA actually uses the features/upgrades of 2.0 (whatever they are).

the psp website or if u buy a game that requires v2.0 it ll most likely come with the game. thats how it was for gta:lcs. yea you dont need a usb cable to upgrade, thats what i thought and ended up spending 15 bucks for nothing, but its alrite im still new with this psp thing.

um lads this topic is just starting to leave the point, he made a mistake of not searching now lets just get on with it.
Back to the question-if for some reason you don't have v.2.0 update on the game, dnt worry just go the sony site and you shud find it there. Here is the website to save another post, DO NOT i repeat DO NOT! download the version 2.50 which is shown on the link, search on the website for version 2.0, it should be there.

each new game come with an update. for eg. GTA comes with a V2 update anyways....
its sony sly way of getting rid of hombrew and all those minis hack tingies

For the small but growing list of Games that require you to have Firmware 2.0 (or better), installed:
GTA:LCS
SOCOM
Hustle
You must have the real Firmware v2.0 (or better), installed PERIOD!
Firware Changers WILL NOT WORK! as Firmware Changers can not emulate the Security (i.e. the Encryption System used in v2.0+),.
Upshoot the above Games Will never be albe to work with anything less then v2.0. The Catch-22 beeing that you can not run Homebrew / ISO Loaders with v2.0.
So what could this mean to you?!? Well first off you don't need to waste your / Time / Money / Bandwith to download a Warezd version of thosed Games as you CAN NOT USE 'EM!
Thankfully S0NY have enough sence to to keep improveing there Security on the PSP. Admidditly at the cost of pure Homebrew Apps! =(
But, I'd glady give up Homebrew for better Games Support from S0NY...

i wish the hackers keep on hacking the crap out of the PSP and they succeed uch more than Sony . sony just wants to make there money and i havent got the money to waste.

well if you wish that the hackers "keep on hacking the crap out of the psp" its only going to end the psps run sooner. or at least thats what i assume. i mean if they arent getting enough revenue from games or similar things, they will just stop producing as many games, and that means less games for psp owners. get my logic? but yea in a way i agree with you. sony is rich enough and some people actually use homebrew for other things than just games (i think so), but until then, us poor folks "cant do anything" except voice our opinion.

i was looking at a table which shows the richest companies and coutries in a table. at number 70 was sony. at number 71 it was pakistan. now pakistan is richer than many countires (its still very poor though) just imagine how rich sony is?
