Hey. As you may or may not know I am new to this forum. Thanks for having me, but to the point...
I just bought a PSP today, which is version 1.52, and I need to know some things...
I just bought a USB Cable of Ebay and how would I go about starting the whole process of getting internet on my psp while still staying on 1.5 to play ISOS, how would I play ISOS on it (I already know about torrents/ISOS), and will my PSP be messed up after all of this? Thanks alot...

there is a hombrew internet browser if you get wipout but if you want a real internet browser get firmware 2.0 or 2.5 on your PSP Note this will make it impossible to play hombrew until the crack the two versions and yes if you Get Grand Theft Auto LCS you have to have Firmware 2.0 wich you can get straight from the umd when you buy it or if you dont want LCS go to www.us.playstation.com go to the psp section and download the firmware for free. to get one from wipout type Wipout Pure Internet Browser Crack Into your favorite search engine and you can probably find it that is if you dont want the new firmware from sony

Can you explain what Homebrew and firmware is again? You can downgrade from 2.0 back to 1.5 right? Are there any repercussions to this? Thanks again.

firmware is what version of PSP you have ther is 1.00 1.50 1.51 1.52 2.00 and 2.5 each one has a new upgrade to the PSP you can only downgrade 2.00 nothing above if you have 2.00 or 2.5 you can not play homebrew hombrew is made by third party video game designers usually people who just make video games for fun where you can download them for free and play them anytime you want if you have 2.0 and above you cannot play hombrew saved to your memory stick. Grand Theft Auto LCS requires you to have 2.0 and above. 2.0 can be downgraded just type PSP Version 2.0 downgrade into your search engine and you can find it

Hey, sorry grinding.. but, 1.52 is different from 1.5 ,, 1.50 is the offical firmwire that is hacked,, 1.52 isnt,, you cannot run isos or other brews,, sorry man,, but what you can do, is go to 2.00 , which will give you an offical browser, and other offical goodies, Then once at 2.00. you can then downgrade to 1.50 , and then run all the homebrews and stuff,, however, you must first upgrade.. anyquestion, dont hesitate to ask me or anyother people on the forums, glad to have you on.

OK I just got my USB cable through the mail and I'm gonna plan to do this...
1) Upgrade to 2.0 through playstation.com
2) Downgrade to 1.5
3) Download games and play?
Some questions...
1) Are there any internet browsers I can use while still at 1.5?
2) Is there a special program I should download to play ISOS? (Homebrew?)
3) Should I do this method or wait until GTALCS comes in the mail and upgrade through that?
Thanks again.
EDIT* I just read the guide to upgrade to 2.0 and where will I find the folder to my Memory Stick Duo? I plugged it into the computer but nothing happened. Is it in a drive? Thanks

Some Questions
1. yes there are some try PSP-hacks.com and go to downloads
2. I do not think so just put the info into the GAME folder
3. Either way it will be fine but do it through Sonys website to get it done faster
4. first on the PSP go to SETTINGS go one up to USB Connection and click X. be sure to put the USB cable in the PSP and Computer, than if you have Windows XP it will says downloading info on your toolbar, than goe to MY COMPUTER on your main windows page or your start menu and for mine there are HP Pavilion C HP RECOVERY D
and a whole bunch of removeable disks it should be one of the removeable disks (I think this also works on Windows ME and 98 but I am not sure I have not used either one for a long time)

One more simple question and I'll be on my way...
On the playstation site you can only update to 2.5. Is there any way to just update to 2.0 through my PC? Kool

try google but im not really sure, but it ll be in your gta game. im pretty sure that sony wouldnt have both versions 2.0 and 2.5 on their site. and the only way to update through your pc is with a wireless connection. you cant update through a usb.

Homebrew is on 1.00 and 1.50 only. The official browser is on 2.00+. You can get homebrew browsers like wipeout, fired up, tenchi etc. you can downgrade from 2.00 to 1.50. NUTTIN ELSE!!!
I was told to change my sig so I did this.

dont put it in the directory
here this should help
open the PSP folder
you should have a folder named PSP all caps open it create a folder named GAME all caps go into it create a last folder named UPDATE
all caps open it then copy the EBOOT.PBP file into that. now on your PSP go to the little controller icon go down to the game folder and hit X. that should work.
