can anyone get the socom iso to work ...i tried it out but all i got was a black sreen...did anyone help me ...???

You'll need to have Firmware v2.0 or better installed in order to even run the Game!!!

Yep just like good 'ol GTA:LCS!!!

There IS a solution!!! I'd upgraded to 2.0 just to play battlefront 2, then downgraded back to 1.5 today. The new version of Fastloader (now called UMD emulator) v0.8c is letting me play BF2 /from the UMD even/ without having firmware 2.0!

Well you didn't have to upgrade for Battlefront II. It works with fastloader. The Hustle, GTA:LC and Socom are the only games that for sure won't run on 1.5. I've heard mixed reports on Lord of the Rings.

Face it, Hustle, GTA and SOCOM are some of the first and as for the Two of 'em the Biggest Titles to come along on the PSP to date. You really don't expect S0NY to just give the Leaches a Free Lunch. Do you?

As for LOTR and other Games it's about timeing and where / when the Code was pressed. So long as a Game has not went to press yet it would still be simple for S0NY to change the requirements of any given Game. (i.e. v2.0 or no v2.0),.

The one thing you can bet on is that the next BIG THING will probably requre you to have Firmware 3.0 Installed. Firmware v3.0. Is due for a early ~ mid December realese.

So it's looking more and more likely that this Homebrew scene is going to die off soon...
