Well the simplist way would be to update to either to the v2.01 or v2.50 Firmwares. Other then that, don't leach Sh*t off of eMule, or Bit-Torrent (i.e. *.iso's, it's much better for you to BUY THE GAMES AND SUPPORT THE PSP!),.

Other then that there's PSP-Safe it can 'look for' any Code that could cause damage to the Flash ROM. However if your into LUA Games you may find yourself looking at a lot of False Positives....

what do you mean by "bit-torrent" is that a site? or are you just saying bit torrents over all you know? i download iso's like madddd, i have a good 30 psp games on my computer, and i havent had one psp virus, word up

Bit Torrents are Files that you can use to download things with. Most of 'em Warez. Just like p2p.

Besides there's only that, One Downgrader that some Jerk fuxxed around with to deleate Three Critical Files from the Flash ROM. Thuss all the whoo-braa-braa over the 'overflow.tiff' beeing a 'Virus'. It's all BS! The overflow.tif File is NOT A VIRUS! But, if your not careful ba choosing which Files to use with it, it could cause you to brick your PSP?. But, the overflow.tif itself is Mostly Harmless, kinda like the Earth, although not mearly as dull... =/
