I have Nero 6.6.0.16 and a Pioneer DVR-109 drive with the latest Firmware. I am trying to burn a DVD Video that is about 6.7GB in size to a 4x Verbatim DVD-R Dual Layer disc.

I don't have any problems writing to CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R single layer or DVD-RW single layer discs.

I am writing Video files. They are not from another DVD, but recorded from a Television Tuner. They are saved in the same Mpeg Format as DVD video and audio is saved in. If I was to lower the quality setting of the video file so it fitted on a single layer disc, I am 100% certain I would be able to burn it to that disc without any problems. It is just when I try with the DVD-R DL disc it doesn't work.

In Nero it seems to go through the whole process of Creating the menus, transcoding the streams, encoding all the video files etc in preparation for burning onto the disc. But when it comes to the actual burning part (after quite a number of hours) it comes up with an error that states: ?Unable to prepare data for recording: Failed to get disc content.?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be the problem?

Try encode the mpeg with another program (e.g. VSO, DVDSanta), then burn with Nero Recode.
