i have the game ridge racer and im triing to play people across the country....i was thinkin that infrastructure was wlan ...how do i use it ?

Infrastructure mode is WLAN. You'll set it up just like any other WiFi device on your wireless network. Just follow along the simple setup in the PSP's network settings menu. Name the connection whatever you like, then have it scan for the SSID (your network's name) choose your encryption type (most likely WEP) then enter the WEP key. I'm pretty sure if you choose 'easy' settings after entering the key that everythign else is automatic as far as it's requesting an IP from your wireless router. The only thing you may have to do on the router itself is add the PSP's MAC address (available in the system info menu) if you have the router set for MAC filtering. you might also need to grab your WEP key from the router if you don't know it already.

Ridge Racer isn't infrastructure so you can't play with other people that are farther away unless you used xLink Kai or some other program like it.

One note about Kai unless you going to go outa your way to get ~One of there known working solutions.~ Or you should only be so lucky to have it allready I wouldn't waste to much thought on XLink KAI!

As in order to use it you basicly need to be in a Promiscuous Ad-Hoc Mode (a qusi Ad-Hoc & Infrastucture Mode in One),. Thing is only a few a very few Routers, et-al can run in this mode.

Thuss even if your were so lucky the chances that, you'd be able to play said Game, is ±Zerro.
