PSP shuts off during game play

My PSP has shut off twice in the middle of the game and it is not because the battery was low. It only happens when I am using UMD Emulator 8c or FastLoader 7. Can anyone explain why this is happening?

Wat is happening is your PSP is going into sleep mode( i think), the reason it goes into sleep mode is because that stops the disc from spinnig, thus saving power, but that only happens if u dont press buttons for a couple minutes. Also are you sore your not just accidentally turning it off with your right hand??

I am certain that one time I did not turn it off on accident, my brother was playing it today when he called me over and was like "is your battery charged bro 'cause this just turned off by itself." The time it turned off on me was when I was playing FIFA 2006 ISO and it turned off during a load screen.

OK never mind....do not i repeat DO NOT call customer help...it is a waste of time, its like if you like chocolate cake press 1 BEEP if you like your PSP but are about to smash it because you are lost and confused and also thinking of becoming a ninja press 4, to hear me repeat my self over and over again presss 8 to go back to the menu press 9. i called about my problem ugggggg
good thing it was free:-)

yea the customer service was pretty crappy. and i dont think they would help you on something that sony comply with, which is homebrew.

for some reaason dometimes the psp will shut down by itself.
Usually when playing a demo from Game SHaring. It ahppens to me all the time with G.S.. I think $ony doesnt want us to have a good time playing without buying...
Also, i was playing a legit game and this happened.
Also happened wih an ISO.
Also with AOTM. (Homebrew)
d00d im beggining to think $ony is preparing to control all PSPs and bring out the Evil Lazer Beem(tm) and take over the world! (or planning something else sinnister, like stopping us from playing games)
I was told to change my sig so I did this.

well , u might not need 2 buy a new battery, does the psp shut off when ur playing actual real umds? if not, you have a different problem

In AUSTRALIA where i am, everything is ub3r-expensive. A game is $70, a playgear pocket is $40, and a 1gb MS ranges from $80 (ebay) to $299 (eb-games. not to be confused with ebay). In my opinion, eb-games is crap, and the aust prices are crap. The currency, when converted, is like $10AUD-$5USD. And the prices are like WHOOOOOOOO. That's L4M3, d00d, as a american d00d in __x___ buisiness earns $140USD and a aussie r0x0r in _x__ business earns $140AUD and we dont get MORE even tho there the same buisness in the same company with the same regulations, etc etc et c thats u63rg4y. (note the x and no y.)
EDIT: oh yea, the battery wears down over time. That also proves that $ONY is t3h g4y manufacuring. I have a HP IPAQ rz1710. The battery is IRREPLACABLE, ive had it for AGES and recharged it ALOT and it doesnt wear.
I was told to change my sig so I did this.

well the psp battary in the USA is like $25 and in the uk its like £15 were i am so it will be better if you buy online like just look around some shops on the net you will fined 1 ill look for ya.

I also experienced these problems during gameplay. (like Untold Legends)
Just a few games do hang and turned off the PSP.

I just rented Burnout Legends....AWESOME GAME!!!! if you have played burnout 3 and liked it u will loooove burnout legends
