Have used various parts of Nero to burn DVD's with no problem including Recode. However when I try using Recode to burn Main Movie to digital I don't get anything to play on my DVD player. Movie shows up in the preview screen while encodeing and the burn process goes through all of it's normal functions and says that it has successfully burned the project but nothing plays. Any ideas?

Here's Copy of Log. I tried a different approach to using Recode (THIS LOG IS NOT WHAT I DID HOWEVER). What I did was Recode Main Movie to Nero Digital but instead of burning it do DVD I sent it to a folder on my hard drive and then used NeroVision to put that File on a DVD and it worked, however that seems to be the long way around to get things done. Also the sound was very low on it. Any ideas? As I said the included log is from an ealier attempt to use Recode and burn to DVD. Hope you can offer some help. The only thing I can see in there is you might want to go to Nero site and get the clean tool to uninstall incd. It can conflict even with some of Nero.

You also need to edit the log posted to remove Nero key.

It is where the quote is here but I xxxx it out in the quote.

Nero Digital puts out a file that is mpeg4 and similar to DivX is your player capable of playing the format?

Thanks deleted number. Also unistalled InCD. Also log posted is everything that I had. Any idea what's missing. Also when I ran the digital file off of my hard drive (initially done through Recode) through NeroVision isn't it still in the MPeg4 format? If so it played fine when I burned it using NeroVision but no when I try Recode.

Vision is making dvd which is mpeg2, as vob, ifo, and bup files. From what I gather recode is making mpeg4 called mp4 at nero which is mpeg4 kinda like divx. At the moment I dont know of a set top player that will play mp4 from nero. There are many that will play divx and xvid.

Yeah I have tha 642/37 for a while now. I love it for DivX, XviD, and DivX vod after I regestered it with DivX.com. I cant get it to play Nero version of mpeg4 though there mp4 extension. I have played lots of DivX vod with it. A few DivX and 1 XviD. Do you know if just changing the extension of the Nero digital file will work? I guess I can just try it and see.

I just got finished testing that. No go that way either. The 642 spins up trys to read then just open the drive for both mp4 file and the renamed file. Also the Divx player will not play them on the comp. It reports error Audio data: Tag 5376. I think its some kind of radical mix of mpeg4 video and aac audio or something like that. It goes further to state that the video might play but will have no audio. Key there is might. It did not show anything except the counter going like it was playing. Had black screen and no sound. Same for mp4 from nero and when changed tag to divx. So I decided to try Quicktime and it reported it as not being a video file.
