Ok, I bought Stealth "Widescreen Special Edition" and when I went to copy it wouldn't work. I use Clone DVD 2 and AnyDVD. I don't "Rip" dvds or whatever its called because as much as I've seen the tutorials I just don't get how to do it.
Has anyone else had problems with this program and Stealth? I noticed when it first started it said some weird message too but I didn't catch ir nor did I catch what the problem was with the disc when it was trying to copy it.

I don't use CloneDVD or AnyDVD but Stealth was easy to copy! I use DVDFab Express and it did a great job on it!

I am pretty sure all you have to do is have AnyDVD Running, look for the red fox in the taskbar (lower right corner of your screen by the clock). Then Open CloneDVD2. After that click on the "Clone DVD" button. Select the source. Uncheck everything except for the main movie.
Then click "Next". On the next screen, uncheck everything except for the English Audios & subs. It should say 95% compression at the bottom. Then click next again, choose your destination and click "GO". I have never copied a movie like this as i always rip to the HD first, but it should work the same.
For using DVD Decrypter I will quote one of my other posts:
Quote: EDIT: One more note, you have to blank out the special features and previews using VobBlanker. Also, use the program to strip the Audio from the main movie. Leave only the Dolby AC3 otherwise it will not compress.
Try one of these three options:
1. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260734
2. http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=56078
3. Or if you have the Widescreen version make PSL file, then read the second link and go to the "Remove Crap" Section:

To use the PSL, copy and paste it in Notepad and then save it as "Stealth.PSL". If you get a text document, then you are saving as text, make sure you are doing all file types.

I used AnyDVD with DVD Shrink and I had no problems with the movie. I tried a different way using DVD Decrypter, IFOEdit but the guide I had was for the widescreen movie and I had the fullscreen. I would recommend AnyDVD to everyone.

I just used DVD Shrink to do it. I don't have AnyDVD. In fact DVD XCopy works just as fine - only takes a bit longer time.

I have been using AnyDVD for quite some time now, but never have tried the companion program CloneDVD2. I bought Nero Digital Pro (Stand Alone purchase) and have never seen a need for any other selective compression program since. It does a LOT MORE than DVD Shrink and it's much, much faster.
For those of you who have BOTH CloneDVD2 and Nero Digital, I would appreciate some comments on the performance differences and advantages of one over the other; if possible.
Oh yes, as for Stealth, AnyDVD and Nero Digital did the entire disk, with all features and menus. I just took out some of the un-necessary sound tracks and left the rest alone. I also did it "Main Movie Only" because I really don't give a damn about the extras. (AnyDVD) works fine to copy the disk to the HD. After that, it's up to YOU what to use to compress and burn; lots a good choices available.

I have both Nero Digital & CloneDVD 2. Though they both work well, I have found that certain movies like Stealth & ones like it give Nero a fit! Actually freezing Nero up. However, CloneDVD 2 does the job Fast & without a problem. Of course you need AnyDVD running with either. I have found myself using CloneDVD 2 for all my back-ups. Just my opinion from my experiences with both. Try CloneDVD 2 for Free for 21 days. I think you'll find that it works VERY good & may buy it as I did!

I have never had a freeze up with Nero Digital. Fact is, I have never had any notable problems with Nero Digital (With the exception of missing the compressed target size from time to time).
That lack of errors might possibly be because I always copy the entire DVD disk to my Hard Drive first, then work with the HD copy instead of the original disk. The copy to HD step (With AnyDVD) makes the movie 100 percent protection free and structurally sound - so, that step will almost always catch the (Show Stopper) problems which might cause me trouble later - and, I can burn to disk with lots and lots of options from the HD copy without having to spend the time it takes to read from the origianl disk again.
I more than likely should take sly software up on the FREE trial option for Clone DVD2. I wouldn't have to bug people for their opinions of the program if I did that - but the experiences and opinions of others always adds a bit of color to the knowledge base. I have found that some folks have the ability to mess up a soup sandwich, and those are the folks who will really put a program to the test. There is no such thing as "Idiot Proof" in the software world. (Large Grin)

My wife usually uses DVDDECRYPTER to backup the DVD to my harddisk while I am at work. I then do a second backup with CLONEDVD2 to remove the FBI warning screen(s) and that stupid theft commercial if there is one. That video is really annoying and they force you to watch it. I will then move onto DVDSHRINK to do the compression with full analysis on. I still find that DVDSHRINK gives you the best ratio of all the programs. I own Nero, CLONEDVD2, AnyDVD, DVDDECRYPTER, DVDSHRINK and unfortunately DVD XCOPY PLATINUM. I will probably DVDFAB at some point and see how that works.

Okay, Check this out, I'm going to make another post to help solve every1's problem.
I got Stealth to work fine with DVDFAB alone.
Some people are getting an error report when they try to burn stuff, So try this.
Just change the Directory to your Primary Hard Drive. For example C:/DVD. So it will be in the DVD folder of you C: Drive. Turn off DVD 43 and change your directory, and all should be fine.
