Faulty PSP?

OK ... i've had my PSP a couple of months now, i imported it specially. It recently seems to have developed a fault with the Analog stick, as well as moving up, down, left and right, it also rotates - i have borrowed a friends PSP and his doesn't do it ... and now it seems to have seized nearly completely, and it will only move in a semi-circle ark shape, i would push it up, but i don't want to pressure it to much for fear of breaking it completely.

I'm really not sure what to do because i'm in the UK, and with it being Japanese i haven't got a clue about where i stand with regards to the warranty ... however if there's a quick fix that anyone knows about i'd be more than happy to try it, i'm dying to get back to GTA ...
