I have a 1.50 version PSP and am running some lovely homebrew. I've been told that if if I purchase a new game and play it that it will automatically update my PSP version. Is this true?

Also will a movie umd do the same?

i heard socom requires 2.0 to play, but definitely for gta. it wont run unless you have 2.0 installed. but it wont force and automatically update your psp without your consent
