HI GUYS

ive downloaded the MPH Downgrader and read forums and done my research and have made the decision to downgrade

can the MPH Downgrader be used for the Japanese Version 2 PSP or is it only for the US and or EUR??

You can downgrade any v2.0 psp with mph downgrader, it doesn't matter if you psp is us, jpn or eur.

Yes so long as it's only v2.0 and not v2.01 or v2.50, you can downgrade.
Just note if your currently useing the Web Browser (v2.0), you're gonning to loose that, While there are One or Three other Homebrew Browsers out there. They're slower, less powerfull, and incapable of displaying anything other then *.jpg's and *.png's.

The other problem with Firmware v1.5 is the lack of support for the next line of Games, some of which were released this past Month.

GTA:LCS
Hustle: Streets of Chicago
SOCOM: Navy Seals'

All basicly require you to have the real Firmware v2.0+ installed, and will **NOT** work with anything less then Firmware v2.0! (i.e. Firmware v1.50 with a Firmware Changer to report the PSP? as beeing a v2.0, when it's not),.

As those Games only represent the Tip of the v2.0 Iceberg, I think we can expect more. And untill the time when someone can properly crack v2.0. I'm just not sure what the point in downgradeing is. At the moment I don't have any real v2.0 only Software for the Protable. But, come Payday and godwilling I can still get a Copy (e.g. it has not allready sold out!), I plan on getting GTA:LCS. Thuss leaveng me little choise but, to update back to v2.0... =(

Well yeah, im not really a big GTA FAN...socom as well...ill wait for a really big game that i knw i will enjoy like final fantasy or something and then upgrade back. But at the moment...nothing really tickles my fancy.

Just one last question, is it fairly easy to upgrade back to v 2.00??
like do i have to manually do it ...or if i buy a game like GTA it will automatically update it for me?

should i download the firmware from the sony site to just in case?

Yes you should have no problems to update latter on. If you eventually have to use a Firmware Changer. To report a higher version then what's actually installed. You should rerun the firmware Changer and reset it back to v1.50 before you Update.

well i did it ...sucessfully downgraded my psp no problems, a couple of times i got a bit nervous, but hey, it was nothing. And also loaded up fastloader and a few games, wasnt hard at all, i guess alot of people stuff or brick their psps cause they didnt prepare or did the proper research!...

Or maybe they just were the unfortunate One's to get hit with the Bum Downgrader that deleated thoes Three Critical Files from the Flash ROM instead of just changing the Firmware Version Number??
