a friend of mine said that his friend put over a 60 songs(not sure exactly how many)on a cd....how is that possible..or is it even possible at all...i'm experimenting with putting songs on dvd right now but i didnt think a cd could hold that many songs.

If you make a Data CD, You have 700mb's of space. If each song is 7mb's you would get 100 songs on 1 CD.

your friend is most likely referring to an mp3 CD. standard audio CD, which contain uncompressed audio, can only hold roughly 80 mins of audio, where as a mp3 CD with compressed audio files can hold 8 to 10 times as much, depending on how much the mp3s are compressed. I can usually fit about 100 to 120 mp3s on a CD. it makes it very convenient for playing in the car (but you need a car receiver that is mp3 compatible.) if you with to convert your audio CDs to mp3, use EAC (exact audio copy). Once you have your mp3s on your computer, just use any burning app like Nero to create a data CD with your mp3s on it.
