Hi all, I'm, about to buy a Jap PSP but believe the white ones run v2.01 so this is no good for downgrading, true? So, do the black ones have v2.01 also? Better to go black and hope it's less than v2.01?

white ones are 2.0 not 2.01.
norms are 1.52.
dgr is 2.0->1.5, no more no less. downgrader aint gunna work above (yet) or below 2.0 and will ony work wit the 1.5 update.

Yes but, S0NY? thought it would be fun to mix things up! Sadly this is not September, or October anymore. Those PSP's? have sold out. And SONY? is reportedly shipping only v2.01 / v2.50, to Retail now.

Now that doesn't instantly mean that your not going to get a v1.52 / v2.0. There may still be plenty of 'em out there! But there Numbers are thining it's not expected that there be any v1.52's or even v2.0's left after Chistmass. =(

Besides S0NY? is expected to release Firmware v3.0 in about Three Weeks (or so),. So it's looking more and more likely that the Door on v1.50 is closeing fast!

If your looking to get the PSP? in order to run Homebrew. You might wish to consider getting a GP2X instead!
