Hi there,

Just got my PSP and want to share some videos with my PSP buddies. Is there anyway to transfer a movie from one psp to another?

Thanks

sorry, I should add that this is a video from duo stick to duo stick.
I want to "beam" it from one PSP to the other.

No the closest thing(s) I can think of are the Firmware v2.0 *ONLY* Photo Share (For Pictures duh), and the normal Game shareing Funtion that's been with the PSP since Day One (As far as Day One in Europe goes!),.

Other then that I don't know of any Wireless (Ad-Hoc Mode), FTP Programs for the PSP?, so no...

I don't know (or think that it'll work because there's no App on the PSP? (in the Leagle Channels), that will act as a File Manager, but, if you both have v1.00 or v1.50 you might be able to use the USBx.x Connection to transfer stuff over. But, I'm not even sure about this. As I can barely afford the One PSP? as it is!

From PSP updates:

PSpoofer v1.2 for the PSP Released

Modsyn has released version 1.2 of his PSpoof program for the PSP. PSpoof essentially allows firmware 2.0 users to transfer files by attaching them to a Jpeg image, and sending it using the photo sharing capability. Here is what Modsyn had to say:

Tested using Fanjita's 8.5 loader and USERLUA provided with the 7.0 loader. What it does:

This application allows you to send any file from your memory stick to another PSP via the "Photo Sharing" function. It simply adds your file to a valid jpeg file so the PSP thinks nothing's fishy. Note that the PSP won't allow you to send any image over 2MB. A workaround is in the works.

You can get it in our PSP Download section [here].

First off I'd lay off the LUA Player. I'll admit, and fain ignorance of it. But, the way I understand it the LUA Player needs to access (e.g. read/wite to the First Firmware Partition on the Flash ROM in oder to work. Now with intentionaly buggy Downgraders just waiting to zap your PSP? + every AV Firm in the know Galaxy branding the 'overflow.tif' as a Virus. Anything that needs to access the Firmware on the Firmware Leve! is just plain tabo on my PSP?.

Again I'm not saying that any such programs will kill your PSP?, but, I don't see the need to take this chance...

I'd like to see some proof of what you say. LUA does not write to firmware as far as I know. It's all done RAM only. But hey, I could learn something new here. Educate me if yer not talking out yer ass.

There has been not one report of homebrew bricking a PSP. The Brick trojan will brick a PSP for sure, but nothing else has been reported to make a brick.

I think the problem was reported by PSPsafe which checks for EBOOT's that could possibly harm the Flash0 (Partitoion), of the Firmware ROM. Sadly I can't seem to get any 'hits' for PSPsafe from google at the moment. =(
