When burning a mp3 cd I copy the files over then click on burn. I do not choose test and burn this seems to take too long. Then I wait, the buffer hits 100%, then is seems to start writing to disc. It gets to about 2% then stops, and freezes there. The light on the burner turns off and it just sits there. In the task manager it says it is not responding. Is this a problem with the program or the burner.
Open Nero and go to file, then preferances. now go to the General tab folder and disable antivirus plug-in. Now go to the Expert Features tab folder and enable overburn and set to 90. You "might" have a conflict with your ASPI layers so I would recommend you install ASPI 4.6. Disable anti-virus when burning and try a different brand cd-r media.

ASPI 4.7 isn't considered "reliable" (yet). I'm aware Nero uses it's own ASPI layer, but this doesn't rule out a conflict if one is using ASPI layers versions lower than version 4.6. ASPI 4.6& forcASPI are the most "reliable" layers at present.
