Im having a bit of a problem here. My system is as follows
cpu: AMD Athlon 64 3000+
Mobo:Asus A8N SLI Deluxe
Ram: Crosshair 512x2
gpu: Radeon Saphire X300 256mb (PCI-E)
HDD: Seagate 120gb IDE
Maxtor 200GB SATA
DVD: Sondy DRU (cant remember specific name) DVD+/- &CD Burner
Floppy: An old one I bought over from my first HP
Sound card: Creative Audigy 2 (on board)
My system has been running fine for the most part, but I started getting some bluescreens that poped up when my system was under stress for a while.... Even though things seemed fine according to Speedfan (My cpu topped out at around 48C-50C when being pushed to the maximum....no OC) and everything else was about 5-10 degrees below that usually....So I decided my copy of windows needed a fresh reinstall anyway and I also went out and bought an aftermarket cpu cooler. I got everything hooked up only to run into one problem that wasnt there before. My system freezes at the Asus screen before it starts booting and it also lags a bit at the next one (The screen displaying my IDE, SATA devices etc...) than it starts booting....the system runs fine as far as I can tell. Loads fast but the lag time at the start is horrible. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?thanks in advance :)
Edit: Never mind o.O....I hooked up another IDE drive and for some reson the system booted right up faster than I've ever seen it..... weird......altough I have this suspicion that naybe it was because I had the primary IDE set in the place of the secondary on the cable....I dont know if that would make a difference.....but i think the problem is solved now....thanks :)
