i have used dvd decrypter and psp video 9 to convert and back up my dvds befor but this time i tried to convert madagascar but becuase there are so many folders i got a little confused and just picked the longest file(thinking it was the actual movie)it went through the converting process but when i brought it to psp video 9 it created a thumbnail and empty .mp4 file, what did i do wrong?

ok you need to set DVD Decrypter to ifo mod located in tools

then go into settings and tell it to do one file not by chapters

then decrypt the file that it automaticly selects it will then incode the video in its entirety except previews and menus into a VOB file then use psp video 9 to convert the video to mpeg 4

warning i hope you have a 1 gig stick or you will run out of memory card space

DVDs aren't just files that you can run. They are a load of files all run together by a player of some sort. Convert it to an AVI file or something. THEN convert.
