From the root of the PSP (I.E. Not inside the "PSP" folder) Create a folder called "MP_ROOT" and inside that folder create another folder named "100MNV01" That is the folder you need to copy your encoded video files to.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! (heh, sorry.)

You can ONLY put M4VXXXXX.MP4 files and M4VXXXXX.THM (thumbnails) in there. Nuttin else, like WMVs AVIS etc.

And in v2.00+, in MP_ROOT\100AMV001 you can put AVCs, which arent commonly used.

I was told to change my sig so I did this.

if it is in the right folder it is the right format for the PSP (MP4 or AVC) then load up the PSP with no game in it (or you could just press the 'home' button) and scroll along horizontally until you get to 'Video' then press X (or O if you imported from japan like i did) and the thumbnail should appear. you could use a program like PSP Video 9 (Free) which will convert the video file to PSP compliant files and put them in the correct folder on your PSP memory stick so it will definatly work. sorry if i'm insulting your intelligence but i presume that you know you can't put it on the PSP itself, you put in the memory stick, which means that you need a bigger memory stick with enough free space on it.

well first off, if you have any programs open at the same time as the conversion, then exit them. you might have programs running in the background like P2P programs or bittorrent clients, so close all other programs unless absolutely nessacary. if that doesn't work then try 'PSP Movie Crator' it's not free but there is a free trial so you can see if it works or not
