I just bought a new computer and it came with nero express 6. It looked fine to me but it doesn't seem to have any dvd burning capability. I just bought nero 7, I was wondering what to do next.

Should I just uninstall nero express 6 and install nero 7? I know there was an update on their website- do I install that first or is that just strictly an update after I have the program from the cd installed?

Thanks for any help

Any ideas? Probably simple questions but I'm just wondering before I proceed here.

If you install Nero 7 it will automatically blow 6 away you do not need to worry about an ininstall.

What about the update on the website- that can't just be installed right? It's just an update right? Stupid question maybe but just wanted to know.

You don't need the update to V6 because V7 will remove all of V6 anyway.

What you received with your new computer was a free 'bundled version' of Nero

Just install V7 and you'll be ok.

Thanks a lot, that's what I figured but just wanted to check. This 100 mb update on nero's site for version 7, it fixes some issues I'm assuming? It can just be installed after you get the version from the cd installed, like a patch?

The download of 100MB can be installed like any other new program.

You don't have to have the earlier OEM Version 6 installed from your CD onto your computer because it's not an update.

It's not a patch either, it's a new/replacement program needing a new Registration Key purchased from Nero.

Just run V7 and select your options - if you like - or just install everything.
