I just disabled my intergrated graphics and installed a graphics pci card I hooked the s-video/tv-out.

When I turn on my pc I can see the pc's and window's boot up screen on my tv then it just flickers a couple times then goes black.

How can I fix this thank you

Hi

I had that the first time i tried it.

Google for 'tv tool' download and install it!

It's a program for managing displays and is far better than what you can do built into windows. You can get it to display without using this but there really is no point!

To be honest though you will never get a 'good' result on a television from a pc. You have to knock the resolution right down to 800x600 to be able to read any text or fine detail, but then everything is huge and you have a 3 inch cusror on the screen!!!
The only real solutin is to use an LCD tv with a PC input but that's a lot of money! It does depend on your graphics card mind you, mine was a GEforce FX5200 128mb, other cards use different tv out chips, some use a philips chip which has a good rep but god knows how you find out which one you have???

Have a go though, I found it to be more than good enough to play my SNES emulator on! Surfing the web though just gives you eyestrain : )

No worries, was glad to find somethig i knew a little bit about. Gettin a 27" lcd tv this week so can just use the pc input from now on.

I think everybody is too busy at the moment trying to back up Madagascar!!!

ps, I've heard that even on an LCD, some people get a blurred picture and that there is a program called 'powerstrip' which lets you do lots of fine adjustments like screen clock speeds etc, which helps sort things out.

It might be worth a look?
