I just wanted to pass this along to all you fellow afterdawners. I
tried Limewire at the reccomendation of someone in one of these forums. I was told it was GREAT, and the BEST. First let me tell you
that it is NOT. I have encountered too many problems with this "service". First thing, the downloads are unreasonably long. I have had much quicker downloads on lesser sites. Second, files are
constantly being mislabeled or misrepresented. I have downloaded several movies only to find the file is some British TV commercial.
Not fun when you just spent two to three hours trying to copy a file.
The last thing is the search engine. Why have one? The reults they show are totally unrelated to the search criteria you put in. Very frustrating. Just wanted to warn you if you haven't already tried it.

ok,
i use limewire and its alot better than u say it is. the searches are pretty decent, but like ALL searches, there are some wrong files in the results. maybe before u download movies only to turn out to be commercials, check the file size, the average movie size on limewire is 700 MBs, a commercial would be in the 4000-10000KBs area, much smaller. also, try previewing your files at 10%, make sure some stupid ppl didnt name Alien VS Predator (movie i 1st downloaded and turned out to be an IPod commercial) something like Napolean Dynamite.
