First calm down and tell us what you did and what's happening. It may be something that can be corrected. If it is bricked then the only thing you can do is either buy a new one or see if Sony can repair them and it'll still cost a lot of moeny.

yes, a little more detail please... is it bricked because you were trying to be superhaxxor and downgrading it or the like, or simply because its just not working properly...in the case of the latter just take it back to get replaced or repaired under warranty.

If you were tinkering with it, especially the firmware, then its really all your fault and there may not be much you can do :(

I do wish psps had the same setup pocket pcs had tho, when they used to crash you could hard reset them with a setup disk, kind of like a system recovery disc for the pc.. sony really should provide users with those IMO :(

Ebay is you best bet. The sites that sell them that I know of are out of stock. They usually cost about $100. I think Sony charges $125 to repair PSPs and they will probably send you back a 2.5.

hmmm...its HIGHLY unlikely umdemulator can brick your psp, seriously...

psps get bricked by firmware hacks, simple as that

have you tried a proper reset, ie. hold the power button in the up position for a couple of secs til the green light goes off, then switch it on again....

also, you havent mentioned if you have 1.50 or 1.5x-2.5 If you dont have a 1.5, umdemu may make your machine switch off, but definitely shouldnt brick it. try a different memstick or take the umdemu files off the one you have(if you are able to - you'd need another psp or an memstick adapter and reader to do this)

good luck !

Well damn. It's too late to say it but you never want to try stuff like that unless it's posted in the files section of a respected site and it's had some positive feedback. Hopefully this unfortunate incident will at least make everyone who reads a bit more cautious of what programs they run on their PSPs.
