im very confused i wanted to buy a psp but what is rong with getting a 2.0 or 2.5 version why is 1.5 better, please i really need help and i will apreciate every ones answer, thanks a bunch.

You could have easily fit that all into one post you know. 1.5 is wanted because it can run unsigned code (homebrew) Homebrew is games and stuff that people make, and you can donwload and play on your PSP for free. Not avalible to do on 2.00 and up. You can go online on 1.5, but only through wipeout. 2.00 & 2.5 come with a web browser. Yeah, you can upgrade from Sony's site. You can't tell until you open it, newer ones are coming with version 2.00 or up. Don't worry if you get a higher version, someone will eventually crack it so homebrew works on 2.5/2.6

ok let me explain
1. if you have firmware 1.00 and 1.50 you can use backups but you cannot use the backups online because sony has issued dnas for firmware 2.00 and greater
2.right now there is no way to use backups on firmware 2.0
3. 2.0 has a built in web browser but you will no longer be able to run homebrew or backups
4.if you have a wireless network just set it up in network settings and it will do the rest
thats it
and please next time place all questions in one spot and slow down you where kinda spazing out there

Yes you can get on the Internet whith Version 1.0 and 1.5 by useing the Wipeout Pure hack, it isnt as good as the browser incuded whith 2.0 and 2.5!! A backup is basicly a backup game that you play off your Mem card!! And good luck finding a 1.5!!!

i get a monthly issue of tips and tricks. they said u cant go to flash heavy site and u cant download anythig off the net is this true thx in advance

btw you can downgrade from 2.00 to 1.50 only no more no less.
Backups are ISOs. aka "pir8" games.
Homebrew includes home-made games, emulators, apps, ISO Loaders...
I was told to change my sig so I did this.

i have another question
it is if u download a save game can u like start a new file so u can like startr from the beginig. i mean like regular games have an A B AND C FILE. but the person who put the save only use A file can u use the others
