i am going to buy a psp but i need to ask a few questions.

1.where on the psp box can i find the firmware edition?
2.is it better to upgrade on the sony website then any other random website?
3.if i get a japanese version with all the games and movies in the uk work?
4.if i upgrade can i downgrade aswell?
5.how long does it take to upgrade and downgrade(approximate)?
6.does anything happen if i keep upgrading and downgrading?
7.would older games and movies work on the latest firmware version?
