Hi I have a 1.5megabit connection, Azureus 2.3.0.4
I have Outpost Firewall Pro 2.7, and even with full access to JAVAW.EXE and AZUREUS.EXE I am still getting reallly slow download speeds. Maximum is about 15kb/sec. I read the other thread with routers but that doesnt seem to apply here. Any ideas what I could do?
PS Modem is a D-Link DSL-200 El-cheapo but it downloads fine 120kb+ in Limewire.
Thanks.

Hey Wozz,
i am having pretty much the exact problem as u. i also have a 1.5meg connection through ClearWire Broadband, and i also use LimeWire with great sucess, but cant get past 20kb/s with Azureus. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem cud b? i have a Green Smiley at the bottom and am downloading the healthiest torrents. idk what the problem is, i have no firewall that i am aware of, and i dont think i use a router, since my default gateway begins with 64..
Thanks for any Help

I tried a few things, changed the listening port to an alternative, closed the firewall, tried downloading multiple healthy torrents at the same time but still no difference.. Although when I downloaded multiple torrents I managed to get a total speed peaking about 30kb/sec (which is still rubbish on 1.5) - after which it would drop
back down to almost nothing... Very strange but lots of people seem to be having similar problems

Burner413- If you have a default gateway you are not directly connected to the net - either you are connected through a router or someone elses computer. Go to a Internet Explorer and use the gateway as the IP.. eg http://64.2.2.2 and see if u get a web page. PS I might be wrong but give it a go
