Hi all,

After sifting thru a series of forms and tutorials, I need to ask for some help / assistance.

I have just got my PSP and successfully downgraded to 1.50 and got several iso's to work (thru all the great advice on the scene), and have now tried to dump a copy of one of my DVD's for playback.

I used PSP video 9 (ver 1.73) to convert my .vob file (extracted with DVD decrypter) using the following profile.
AVC/320x240/29.97fps/256kbps stereo/96kbps
Copied the file over to X:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01 folder and made sure the file was named M4V12345.MP4.

When I try and play the file, the PSP reports "incompatible data".

Did I miss some steps ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

MasonsA.

i don't do a lot with video on psp.that said, i havent had any problems. i use default settings on imtoo and all goes well enough. when you say copied THE file to psp? every time i do a convert i get 2 files per video not one (1 large file and one small). I did also use a different number on one video that didn't work, renumbering the files back to 00001 sorted that one.

Hey guys! AVC support is only for PSP v2.0 or higher!

If you wanna watch videos using PSP v1.5 or lower, encode your videos using SP codec! (In PSPvideo9, the Profile should start with "SP")

@witton,

Yeah I tried using the 3GP Converter and the video format was then recognised. I have not tried re encoding with Video 9, but will let you know how it goes.

Cheers,

MasonsA
