yeah the datel HDDs are preferable as they give you more battery life :)
4gb sony memsticks are old news, Ive had one in my camera for over a year...
as shown in one of those links there actually is a way to convert an old memstick to be able to work on a psp, but involves having a 4gb stick, a psp memstick duo an adapter and opening them up which can potentially ruin both if you dont know what the heck you are doing, it is also quite messy with things and bits dangling out of psp, I personally wouldnt bother but you know how some people are :p
someone may come up with a more compact pro>duo adapter in the future. (and of course the duo>pro adapters already exist)

i have a 4gb hard drive also and it kicks arse
screw memory sticks (flimsly, breaks easy)

Paul: read my other post in the other topic that you called me cheap. Seriously, what do you have against me you n00b? How does not having a PSP = being cheap?
Everyone else: I know about the HDD, but its a proven fact that it is slower than memory stick. For example, it skips when you listen to music at a high bitrate and sometimes some bigger games too. The HDD makes the PSP heavier, irregularly shaped, and unable to fit in most cases because of its obesity. I'm not saying it's bad, I'm just mentioning that a 4gb memory stick would be faster. And BTW, you don't really need anything bigger than 2gb if you're going to store games because UMD's can only go up to 1.8gb, which still hasn't been reached by any game as far as I know.

I just got my hands on a high speed sony menstick damn cheap. 2gb is pkenty of room. 4gb would be cool but that device looks a bit wieldy to me...

I prefer the 2gb sticks (highspeed) to the hdd anyday, the access times are off the hook, and there's no added weight. Pickedup 2 of them when i bought the psp, for cheaper than the hdd, alot cheaper.

I signed up dec 2003, by the time i left 6months later i was a member, then haven't been on until a week or tow ago, and no change to the status, so i'd say it's just number of posts... Not really sure tho, i did notice that libenja or someone posted and then edited it saying he'd become a member instead of junior member, so it must be a predetermined number...
Sure it says somewhere if anyone really cares, but it's the advice that's dispensed, not the status of the poster, there's peeps that come on here from other forums and post and they're consdiered newbs by the board.
