I would like to know how to record streaming audio from my pc I am a subscriber to online music but my employer blocks me from listening to streaming audio at work.

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

why pay $49 when other ones like net transport and stream box do it for free...

True but I can vouch for the fact that there is no other software as handy as Replay Music (It splits perfectly, It tags perfectly besides recording) and btw, I am no salesman for Replay Music :)

And about the 49$, not that I am supporting piracy - but when you are OK with recording online stream (which I think = piracy), you can also download cracks/serials or patch to apply to that trial version and make it full ;). Moderator, like I said I am not publicizing Warez/Cracks so please dont kick me out :)...Good luck and Happy New Year, lads!
