Toshiba Satellite A30 DVD Drive Problems

Hi all, i have a toshiba A30 satellite and my dvd drive which is a TEAC DW-224E-A wont play dvd's anymore, copied or legitimate. It used to play copied and normal dvd's perfectly fine, up until recently. From what i've read on the internet and other forums, this seems to be a frequent problem amongst this line of computers, tons of questions, but no answers.

Can anyone please help me?
