Have purchased an XBox 360 in Europe as a christmas present for my son.
Being not a console freak, but relying so much on PCs, I am used to get one or more games when buying a new graphic adapter or motherboard.
It seems to be different in the console world.
I did not open the package (it's a present, and in any case you need to destroy the package to open it), but read from the content on the package that there is only hardwared inside, no one single game.
Can any one confirm ?

Therefore it seems there is no way else that buying at least one original game on top of the 360 console ! Starts to be an expansive fun.

No, it doesn't include any games. There's never a game included in just released console, there might be a demo disc, but there's not even that. So yes, you have to buy games separate.
