Hi, in http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/171943, matty8887 says that "If you are using it for games then you are going to need to buy the program as it only has a 300mb rebuild limit."

Is this still the case? How come everyone uses it without a problem straight after installing it without buying?

zimzimmer replied that "yeah, there are ways around it though".

Anyone know?

The actual program isn't free, but that doesn't mean that you have to buy it for it to work. You just use the "Free functionality" version and it works completely fine with PS2 games and there isn't a limit.

I'm not sure about that Jamaal10. I had the free version and it would not let me extract the ISO component files to another folder. I had to pay for that functionality. I tried to get around paying but couldn't so I just bought it. It's probably better anyway to support the man as his software saves us from having to "repurchase" our PS2 games.

@FranG1214: You're right...we should buy it for the support. I've just been in a little "crunch" lately. It's hard to re-enter the civilian sector after being in the military!! :)

But as far as free functionality, I've never had a problem with the extraction process. It lets me do everything needed with the free version.

@socratez: When you open the program, it should ask you if you want to use the free version or register for a key. If you choose the free version, you should be good to go. If you have any problems, let me know.
