i jsut bought my psp liek 4 days ago and have been on afterdawn since, looking for tips on how to mod my psp. but after reading ive become a little worried, i really dont want to wreck it its firmware is 2.0 ideal mods would be GTA LTS and the sneshomebrew(?) if ANYTHING is possible ANY tips would be GREATLY appriciated.
also, if possible may i please have feedback or recommendations on how to mod the psp? pros? cons? experiances? its all appriciated.
The readme of the Eboot loader should have instructions.

Well, I have not heard of anyone bricking their PSPs from downgrading and in my opinion, I would say it is pretty safe. I have downgraded 2 times so far, and have had no problems.
You can downgrade if you want to, but I cannot guarentee that it will not have any problems. However I don't think you will.
As far as the advantages; I would say the best things are Emulators and ISO loaders. The disadvantage; you cannot play newer games like GTA:LCS.
