Is it not loading when you try it? I'm just curious. I have a 1gb memory stick myself, and haven't had any problems loading any of my backups with fastloader v7. I would think it shouldn't make a difference on what size memory stick you are using. Maybe the people behind fastloader didn't design it to read anything higher than 1gig sticks. If that is the case then, I may think twice about getting the 4Gig PSP hard drive they are selling at best buy.
That raises another question then. Has anyone here bought the PSP 4 Gig hard drive and used it successfully with Fastloader or maybe UMD Emulator?

i've been playing mc3 1.6gb off my 2gb no worries. Opps sorry noticed you said loader 0.7, i only use that to dump the umd, i use umdemulator 0.8 (essentially loader 0.8) but using the demo disc for emulation seems to have a higher succes rate, also dev hook comes in handy.
Actually MC3 won't directload frmo umdemulator, you have to system boot it, ie change to system load, scroll down to the game you want to play and press x. Then from the game umd icon it will show the mc3 as if it were the umd inside the psp (which is the demo disc). Loads and plays perefctly.
Try umdemulator man, should be a goer, as long as the iso file is okay.

No mate, GTA can't be run on anything less than 2.0. It's FW dependant.

No unfortunately not yet, at the moment if you want the homebrew/mem stick goodness, it's 1.5 only. They're getting closer everyday, and may result in custom firmwares being made to support different things...
There is fanjita's loader out there for 2.0, but it's very limited in what it can run, it doesn't support kernal mode yet. You can play emulators etc, just not the more complex prgrams.
Umdemulator still spins me out tho how well it works, what a great program.
To play gta at the mo you need fw 2.0 at least and the actual umd.
Which means you have to buy the game and upgrade to play it, downgrade to play decent homebrew. Not sure how the quality is on the firmware chip itself, but i feel uncomfortable constantly reflashing it (nearly called it the tsop then, memories of explaining how to mod xboxes lol)
tho peeps out there do it constantly and have reported no errors, so it's up to you, me, i just don't play gta, i've got it for every other system, and racing games is where it's at for me, come on down Juiced and GTA4, i'm hanging out here.

pbailey, did you know, as vital as Fastloader/UMDemu is to teh homebrew scene, that its author "Humma" announced his retirement from psp modding recently, saying that it no longer offers any challenge to him. lolz :p
least we still have mph and sxt !

Damn, that's a shame, sounds like a kinda arrogant thing to say too lol, seeing as he didn't get a working umd emulator for the 2.0 working lol, but i'll let it slip seeing as he did such fine work up until now :P
Jokes aside that's a pretty big loss to the scene, and no offense against SXT, but it sounds like they're being headed by a group of early teenagers lol. Tho they have just released a firmware emulator for developers etc, so they're doing great things too. I think they've just forgotten that yuo gotta be prfessional about all things when they're in the position they're in ie the whole psp homebrew communtiy watching there every movement under a microscope.. Tho to be fair they defended themselves well in that latest fracas about sending out downgraders with not enough instructions blah blah lol.
Just find it hilarious the ego's in the dev scene at the mo, teams competing against each other is good, but not if it's going to end in the other team quitting or admitting defeat, not that any have yet i'm sure.
