I know that some games and software programs require minimal components to perform tasks but also recommend certain components to get satifactory or even optimal performance. Is this also true with wi-fi and broadband connection. Basically can having more memory, larger harddrive, faster processor improve online performance or does it really not matter?

Well having more memory and better video graphics can make things on your screen be drawn faster but it will in no way affect your download speeds. it may make your internet experience more asthetically pleasing but thats about it
