Hello all,

a while back, I read about home made projectors at Tom's Hardware Guide (here's a link: http://www6.tomshardware.com/howto/20041113/). Now, I've lined up a monitor to buy, i'm going to look on ebay for a projector that fits my requirements and all that jazz.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice to give me about making this sort of setup. Anything that is easily overlooked? Anything that you would recommend? Any outside help before I start making the plunge is helpful.

I'm also curious if anyone has recommendations for video transcoders (component to VGA and S-Video to VGA).
