hey,

so i have a load of ebooks in pdf format.

i converted em to jpg with universal document converter.

problem i have is getting them onto my psp.

i tried just trasfering them but they were too big to view

so i tried changing them to 648 x 360 pixels

but i still couldnt read them (too small)

so i tried ipsp. all that did was take the image and cut out most of it to fit to screen so i can read about a quarter of a page.

now i read on google (yes i can google)

that there is a prog called pdf2psp - but its for mac only.

so my question is does anybody know of a prog for windows that changes the pdf to jpeg thats actually readable. or does anyone know how i can do it with the current progs that i have.

thanks for any help

RavenLife

p.s by readable i mean so that i can physically read it. not that my psp cant read it

have you tried the homebrew e-book readers ?? Not sure if they support pdf but worth a try ? There might be a pdf specific utility too..

they are available at ps2nfo.com

(check all the pages to get the lastest versions)

sorry i should have mentioned this

i have a v2.0.1 psp (waiting for someone to create a working downgrader) so i can't run any homebrew stuff off of my psp.

thanks for trying though

if anyone has any other tips please feel free to give me a hand.

by the way i tried universal ducument converter again. selecting my size so that it just went past all the writing - hoping that it would split the page up into 3 or 4 photos, alas, just gives me a quater of the page.

any help will be much appreciated. i've been waiting a long time to be able to read these on a bus or something

go to this site: http://www.psphacks.net/ they have a nice psp2pdf program, that splits txt file into jpeg, for the psp. they size it perfectly. i tryed it, and it works good.

If youve got a 2.1 the youre $hit outta luck my man. Homebew was your only hope !! Converting them to image files just wont look right

if youre really into portable reading - go get yourself a pocket pc. I have an Ipaq 1710 - quite inexpensive and very useful(integrates with word, oulook etc) has some great reader proggies and sites dedictaes to e-reading entirely like mobipocket etc.

either that or just wait/hope for a 2.1 downgrader

I wouldnt stress about it - psp was built for games !

i know but as there is a serious lack in good games (my oppinion) over here in england. i thought id put it to some use.

i didnt want to buy a pocket pc as i would only use it for reading ebooks.

i thought i would be able to use something i had already. i.e the ps.

i'll wait for a downgrader then.

ive waited for ages anyways.

(to absk300) the pdf2psp prog is mac only at the mo. i checked thanks for the help though
