What happened to my files?

I finally managed to load all the drivers for my ATI TV Wonder Pro capture card into my computer. Now, when I try to add an MPEG into a new project, it won't appear in My Media Filss. I get the feeling that all my files were changed from Nero Showtime file types to the ATI Technologies file type format. How can I change it back, or at least get Nero to recognize them? I'm dead in the water until I can figure this out! (Strangely, I had two MPEGs in My Media files left over from earlier projects and I guess because they were, they can still be added or deleted). I can't seem to find any setting that makes the ATI file type the default. Anybody know what's going on, or had this experience? I'm desperate here!
