I have just bought the software and when I ran it, it says I cant copy my dvd as it is css encoded and recomended dvd43 as a solution , it still desnt work, although I have the " smiley GREEN" face on tha task bar.
sorry if this is a numptie question but this is my first posy as im a newbee
your status has no effect on howevermuch information we give you but how indepth the info will be, anyway...
DVD43, is a great program that many members use, me occasionaly being one of them, have you upgraded to version *.7.* (* being version number) this will obviously have an impact...
an easier method would be to download DVDFab Decypter, decrypt the dvd to your hd and then run it through DVDXplatinum, if this software has that capibility, if not then use DVDShrink...
the combination of DVDFab Decypter, DVD Decypter, DVD Shrink and DVD43 has kept any dvd backups that many members of this site have done with great quality, great speed and all at a price of $0.00...
so might i recommend that you switch to these programs... they are also easy to use as a bonus...
i bought dvdxplatinum as part of a package with video vault. the web site for X Software clearly said that dvdxplatinum did CSS decryption..... it does NOT!!!! i paid big bucks for the programs for nothing. they do not answer my e-mails. ADVOID these programs they are a rip off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you are using a newer version of patin couffin engine that does not work, download version 1.17 here: http://www.mtc-comp.com/vso/117-patin-couffin_setup.exe to your desktop.
Go to C:\Program Files\321Studios\Platinum and you will see a file that is called pc setup, delete it. Restart your computer and move the new engine into that folder. click on it to install and restart again. It should work then.
